Melanie Stride-Noble Therapy

About me

I am an Eating Disorder Therapist, Registered Associate Nutritionist, and Health Coach. I work with individuals who are dealing with eating disorders, disordered eating (including binge eating, bulimia, orthorexia, and night eating syndrome), and metabolic conditions (such as obesity and type 2 diabetes).

I also offer tailored support for those undergoing weight management treatments, including weight loss injections and bariatric surgery, addressing both the psychological and nutritional aspects to promote lasting, sustainable success. I provide my services in my private clinic in Woodbridge, Suffolk, online, and for the NHS.

After completing a degree in Nutrition and Human Health and training as a Health Coach, I began working with individuals seeking to improve their health and manage their weight. Through research and practical experience in my clinic, it quickly became evident that most people who lose weight tend to regain it. This insight highlighted the need for an integrative and holistic approach to weight management, leading me to train as an Eating Disorder Practitioner with the NCFED. I then furthered my expertise by completing Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E) training for Eating Disorders at The Centre for Research on Eating Disorders at Oxford (CREDO). Additionally, I am currently pursuing an MSc in Counselling and CBT, which is further enhancing my expertise and providing me with valuable tools in psychodynamic therapy to deepen my therapeutic practice. These qualifications have deepened my understanding of the complexities of eating disorders, the intricate relationship between food and psychology, and how food is often used to manage complex emotions and life challenges.

As a result, I now work daily with individuals dealing with binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, metabolic conditions such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, as well as those striving to find balance and peace with food. Additionally, I support clients undergoing weight management treatments, including weight loss injections and bariatric surgery, offering both psychological and nutritional guidance to ensure a sustainable, long-term approach to health and well-being.

My Approach

I help individuals transform their relationship with food, body image, and self-esteem, empowering them to create lasting, positive change.

Since 2017, I have supported people facing unbalanced eating patterns, binge eating, emotional eating, metabolic conditions, and challenges with restrictive diets. Many of my clients are compassionate and driven individuals who often prioritise the well-being of others. My work focuses on helping them rediscover the importance of self-care and nurturing their health.

In addition to working with clients on disordered eating, I also provide support to individuals undergoing medicalised weight management treatments, including weight loss injections and bariatric surgery. I help these clients navigate the psychological and emotional aspects of their weight loss journey, ensuring they develop a healthy, sustainable relationship with food and their bodies, alongside their medical care.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to uncover the underlying causes of your eating habits and explore healthier, more balanced ways to manage your relationship with food. You will gain deeper insight into your patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and shift your thinking to align with your values, creating a relationship with food and yourself that reflects your true potential.

To create a tailored approach that supports you in breaking the cycle of disordered eating, I use an integrative approach, combining various therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
  • Psychodynamic Therapy,
  • Person-centred Counselling,
  • Nutritional Education,
  • Health Coaching
